RUDE GYAL

It seems that every year I gain more confidence and feel more comfortable being myself. I am thankful for my growth and comfort to music. Music has helped me connect with artists who’s lyrics pertain to my life. Songs about beauty have helped me with the insecurities I have about myself. Songs about love help me realize that I am loved. Songs about depression have helped me escape episodes of feeling lonely and imperfect. Music has been my escape tool, my coping mechanism, my numbing cream. When I started writing lyrics of my own it helped me in a way that other artist lyrics couldn’t. It was no longer escaping or numbing, writing has created a way for me to release all the things that I balled up inside. Things that I’m afraid to face. Things I’m afraid to say. Everyone has their way of dealing and mine is through musical expression. And that’s just what gets me through.

I have worked on various projects with several music producers and production companies. Noteworthy collaborations include working alongside music producer Ricky Lewis, known as Ric Rude, Marlon Barrow, also recognized as Chordz, and Reggae Artist Ras Indio. I have always had a passion for collaborating with other artists and projects, whether contributing to marketing and promotions, generating creative ideas for project development, or actively participating in the writing and composing of arrangements.
